    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stable and high performance device for methane fermentation treatment with an organic waste water containing alcohol as a major component and having a small amount of SS to all organic compounds.SOLUTION: A device for anaerobic treatment of organic waste water treats an organic waste water, containing at least 60% of alcohol component on CODcr basis for all CODcr in the waste water and less than 1% of SS, with a tank for adjustment of waste water and one tank type methane fermentation tank. The device includes: a measurement device for measuring water quality such as values of pH of input water and output water of the methane fermentation tank; a measurement device for measuring the concentration of CO; a control device for controlling the amount of an adjusting agent for M-alkali degree based on the values from these measurement devices; and an adding device which adds the adjustment agent for M-alkali degree based on the signal from the control device. An upflow anaerobic sludge bed or an expanded granular sludge bed is recommended to be used in the methane fermentation tank.
