摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas-conveyed threading device for a sewing machine, which does not require a safety device for avoiding a transition from a looper-threading state to a stitch-forming state during the gas supply operation of a gas supply source, and which is simplified in mechanism and enables a looper to be more easily threaded with one-touch operation through a reduced number of times of one-hand operation.SOLUTION: In a gas-conveyed threading device for a sewing machine, a positive clutch 60 transmits power from a sewing machine motor M to a drive shaft 5 which drives a stitch-forming device including a looper during stitch formation and to a gas supply source 40 during looper threading. The positive clutch 60 is structured so as to be moved in a contactable and separable manner to one of a gas supply driver 61 which transmits the power to the gas supply source and a stitch-forming driver 64 which is fixed to one end of the drive shaft and transmits the power to the stitch-forming device, in response to the manual operation of a looper-threading/stitch-forming switching manual operation part, so that the power from the sewing machine motor is transmitted via a clutch hollow shaft 22, and when connected to the gas supply driver, the connection state is maintained.

SOLUTION: A threading device adapted for use in a sewing machine and conveying a thread by means of gas, comprises: a looper thread introduction mechanism 110 into which a looper thread guided to loopers 7-9 is inserted; a hollow, looper thread guide 130 extending to looper thread inlets 7a-9a and having looper thread guide outlets 7d-9d; a supply pump 41 for threading the looper thread by conveying the looper thread from a looper thread introduction region through the hollow, looper thread guide to looper thread-point outlets 7b-9b; a clutch 60 which, in stitch forming operation, transmits the power of the motor M to a drive shaft 5 for driving a stitch forming device including the loopers or which, in looper thread threading operation, transmits the power of the sewing-machine motor to the supply pump; and a mechanism 90 for switching between looper thread threading operation and stitch forming operation, switching the clutch in such a manner that, in the looper thread threading operation, the clutch interrupts the transmission of the power to the stitch forming device and transmits the power to the supply pump and that, in the stitch forming operation, the clutch transmits the power to the stitch forming device and interrupts the transmission of the power to the supply pump.
