    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detecting liquid capable of simply and accurately detecting dental caries-infected part while suppressing dental caries by sterilizing the infected dentin or carrying out bacteriostasis of the infected dentin and having (recalcifying) effect of suppressing production of dental plaque which becomes a cause of dental caries/periodontal diseases of infected dentin part and the circumference of the dentin part and strengthening tooth quality in the applied part with passage of time.
      SOLUTION: The dental caries-detecting liquid is composed of (A) a pigment or dye for imparting color capable of identifying the dental caries-infected part from the dentin by dyeing the dental caries-infected part, (B) a compound having dental caries-suppressing effect and (C) an aqueous solvent capable of dissolving or dispersing the components (A) and (B). In the dental caries-detecting liquid, at least one kind of pigment selected from a group consisting of fluorescein sodium, basic fuchsin and acid red is contained as at least the component (A) or a polyphenol containing a fluoride compound and/or a chroman skeleton-based substituent group is contained as the component (B).
