    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chromium-free precoated steel sheet excellent in all of raindrop fouling resistance, planar-part corrosion resistance and precoated film formability and to provide a housing suitable for outdoor use.SOLUTION: The chromium-free precoated steel sheet includes a laminated precoated film composed of at least two layers on one surface of a steel sheet constituted of a zinc-based plated steel sheet as a base material. An upper coating film forming the outermost layer of the laminated coating film has ≤60° water contact angle, ≤40°C Tg (glass transition temperature) and 4-25 μm thickness, is made from mainly a polyester resin having ≥10,000 average molecular weight, and contains a color pigment and a rustproof pigment, the total content of both of which is ≤60 mass% of the solid content of a coating material. A lower coating film forming the innermost layer of the laminated coating film has ≤40°C Tg and 2-10 μm thickness, is made from mainly a polyester resin having ≥10,000 average molecular weight, and contains the color pigment and the rustproof pigment, the total content of both of which is ≤10 mass% of the solid content of the coating material.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface-treated material which is excellent in thermal emission and further, economically advantageous.
      SOLUTION: The heat emitting surface-treated material comprises one or more layers of coating film on a surface of a base (e.g. metal) and has a thermal emissivity of 60% or higher as the surface-treated material. When an outer layer coating film contains at least a pigment having a thermal emissivity of 60% or higher at the wave length of 6 μm and a pigment having a thermal emissivity of 60% or higher at the wave length of 12 μm, its thermal emission is better than that of the film containing one of these pigments alone. Further, the outer layer coating film is excellent in thermal emission and economically advantageous, when it contains carbon black and titania as the pigments, and carbon black/titania in mass ratio is from 0.001 to 0.030.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent occurrence of red rust from an end face to be observed in chromium-free coated steel sheet not utilizing chromate treatment or chromate based rust prevention pigments without deteriorating corrosion resistance.SOLUTION: In a chromium-free coated steel sheet, one or more layers of coating films are formed on both surfaces, respectively, of a coating base material comprising a plated steel sheet having a plated layer containing zinc. When one hundred samples of the coated steel sheet cut into a rectangle of 0.5 cm×4.5 cm are immersed in ion exchange water (≤4 μS/cm) of 200 ml at 50°C for 30 min under applying ultrasonic vibration with a frequency of 40 kHz, electric conductivity of immersion water is 30μS/cm or more. A coating film of outermost layer contains a compound (preferably an alkali metal phosphate) of 1-30 mass% with the proviso that (A) electric conductivity of the water is 500 μS/cm or more when the compound is dissolved in ion exchange water (≤4 μS/cm) in 0.1 mass% and (B) the compound is not thermally decomposed by 200°C.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent red rusting from an end surface which is observed in a chromium-free coated steel sheet which uses no chromate treatment or chromate-based rust-preventing pigment without deterioration of corrosion resistance.SOLUTION: The chromium-free coated steel sheet has one or more coating films on each side of a coating base material formed from a plated steel sheet having a Zn-containing plating layer. When 100 samples obtained by cutting the coated steel sheet in a rectangle of 0.5 cm×4.5 cm are immersed in 200 ml of 50°C-ion-exchange water (4 μS/cm or less) for 30 minutes while giving 40 kHz-ultrasonic vibrations thereto, the electric conductivity of the immersion water is 30 μS/cm or more. The outermost coating film contains a compound (preferably an alkali metal phosphate) in an amount of 1-30 mass%, the compound satisfying requirements of: (A) the electric conductivity of water when dissolved in ion-exchange water (4 μS/cm or less) at a concentration of 0.1 mass% is 500 μS/cm or more; and (B) thermal decomposition never occurs up to 200°C.
