    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow an operator to immediately judge whether or not a gap of an object is within a tolerance.
      SOLUTION: The inspection jig 1 linearly arranges a first cylindrical roll 4 of which the outer diameter is the upper limit of the tolerance of a joint opening of a steel sheet pile and a second cylindrical roll 5 of which the outer diameter is a lower limit of the tolerance of the joint opening of the steel sheet pile so that their end faces may be parallel with each other. With the axial direction of the first and second rolls 4, 5 parallel to the slit direction of the opening a of a joint A of a steel sheet pile, the first roll 4 and the second roll 5 are inserted or contacted in the direction perpendicular to the opening a, thereby inspecting whether or not the opening a is within a predetermined tolerance. An operator can judge whether or not a gap of an object satisfies a predetermined tolerance easily and immediately, improving the efficiency of an inspection operation. In a sampling inspection, a large number of parts can be inspected within a predetermined period of time, providing quality control with usefulness.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling method and a cooling apparatus for a flat steel bar, which can uniformly cool the flat steel bar in the same manufacturing line as is used for an H-section steel. SOLUTION: Upper cooling devices 11 are arranged along the carrying direction of the flat steel bar FP in parallel on both sides of the width direction of the bar. Lower cooling devices 21 are arranged along the carrying direction in parallel to the width direction under the carrying face of a carrying roller.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently cut even a steel product having an enhanced strength according to its cross-sectional shape while having a simple configuration.
      SOLUTION: A torch 12 is disposed on a conveying line for H-shape steel 11, along an outer periphery of an H-shaped steel 11, to heat the H-shaped steel 11 conveyed on the line. On the upstream or downstream side of the torch 12 on the same conveying line for H-shaped steel 11, a hot saw 6 is disposed to cut the H-shaped steel 11 heated by the torch 12, at that heating position. This cutting device preheats the H-shaped steel 11 using the torch 12 before cutting, conveys the H-shaped steel 11 to put its heated portion at the position for cutting by the hot saw 6, then cuts the heated portion using the hot saw 6. This enables highly efficient manufacturing of high-strength, high-toughness steel products which cannot be conventionally manufactured due to a bottleneck of cutting.

      SOLUTION: This cooling system is provided with a pair of side guides 14 which are installed on both sides of the pass line on the conveying route of the T-shape steel 12 and moved in approaching and separating direction each other, a web supporting roller 13 which is built in the side guides 14 and with which the web 12a of the T-shape steel 12 is supported approximately horizontally, cooling nozzles 16a, 16b which are provided above and beneath the web 12a of the T-shape steel 12 along the pass line and with which the inside of the flange 12b of the T-shape steel 12 is cooled and a cooling nozzle 15b which is provided in a position facing the outside of the flange 12b of the T-shape steel 12 along the pass line and with which the outside of the flange 12b is cooled. The outside of the flange or the inside and the outside of the flange are water-cooled while keeping the web 12a of the T-shape steel 12 approximately horizontal and moving the T-shape steel in the longitudinal direction by using the cooling system 11.
