    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical cable which has no bending directivity and hardly causes a bending peculiarity and kink occurrence, in an optical cable provided with cable clad tearing grooves in a cable clad, and its manufacturing method.
      SOLUTION: The optical cable is obtained by applying at least two layers of coating of a cord covering 18 and a cable covering 14 to a single coated optical fiber with a protective coating applied thereto in the shape of concentric circles. The optical cable is formed in such a manner that tension fibers 12 are arranged on the outer periphery of the single coated optical fiber in the center and the cord covering 18 is formed so as not to be adhered to the protective coating 17 of the single coated optical fiber, and the cable covering 14 is formed at the outer side of the cord covering 18 with extrusion coating so that the cable covering 14 is not adhered to the cord clad, but the cord covering 18 and the cable covering 14 are brought into close contact with each other so that they are hardly slide. Simultaneously, cable clad tearing notches 19a, 19b are formed at at least two places of the side of the inner surface of the cable covering 14 and also gap parts of the notches are filled up with material 20 which does not have adhesion properties with the cable covering 14.
