    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric energy measurement system and a watt-hour meter which are configured in consideration of mutual interference of signals in power line communication.SOLUTION: An electric energy measurement system comprises: a communication master machine 52 capable of signal injection and signal extraction for power line communication via a main power line L1 which distributes electric power to a plurality of power lines L2; and a watt-hour meter 2 which is a communication slave machine that is installed at a place of a power consumer and capable of communicating with the communication master machine 52 by power line communication and also measures electric energy consumed by the power consumer. The watt-hour meter 2 measures the electric energy and transmits measurement data signals to the communication master machine 52 according to an instruction from the communication master machine 52 or when predetermined timing comes. At this time, the communication master machine 52 and the watt-hour meter 2 perform intercommunication by avoiding timing when the power line communication is performed for purposes other than the measurement of electric energy.
