SOLUTION: The secondary battery includes a cathode 21 and an anode 22 as well as electrolyte solution, with the electrolyte solution impregnated in a separator 23 fitted between the cathode 21 and the anode 22. The anode 22 has a coating 22C on an anode active material layer 22B fitted at an anode collector 22A. The coating 22C contains a polyamide compound having a carboxylic acid alkali metal base.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a secondary battery that improves cycle characteristics and preservation characteristics. A solvent of the electrolyte solution contains a sulfone compound of a chain shape or a ring shape having an -S(=O)-S-C(=O)- bond or -S(=O)-S-S(=O)-bond or a sulfone compound of a chain shape or a ring shape having an -S(=O)-O-C(=O)-bond or -S(=O)-S-C(=O)-bond.
