    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a folding antenna device which becomes compact when being carried, and can receive radio waves of a plurality of frequency bands when actually used as an antenna.SOLUTION: The folding antenna device includes a first housing 10 to which a first antenna 11 is attached, a second housing 20 to which a second antenna 21 is attached, and a hinge 30 which makes these two housings foldable. The first and/or second antenna takes two states, i.e., a state being housed in the housing, and a state elongated from the housing. Radio waves of the first frequency band are received in the housed state, and radio waves of the second frequency band can be received in the elongated state.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect foreign matter present in close proximity to a detector coil, i.e., a magnetic coupling element, without providing an additional sensor, and to improve detection accuracy.SOLUTION: A detecting apparatus comprises: one or a plurality of magnetic coupling elements L3 that include a plurality of coils L31 and L32; and a detector 32, 33 that measure an electrical parameter related to the magnetic coupling elements L3 or to circuits L3, C3 that at least include the magnetic coupling elements L3, and determine from a change in the electrical parameter whether a foreign matter that may generate heat due to magnetic flux is present. In the one or plurality of magnetic coupling elements L3, the plurality of coils L31 and L32 are electrically connected such that magnetic flux produced from at least one or more of the plurality of coils L31 and L32 and magnetic flux produced from remaining coils of the plurality of coils have approximately opposing orientations.
