    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a high contrast screen that suppresses ambient light from being scattered on the screen surface but scatters projected image light by selectively reflecting it.
      SOLUTION: The screen is constituted of a screen base material 1 and a selectively reflecting film 2 that is arranged on the screen base material 1, has a characteristic of reflecting the light in a specific wavelength region corresponding to the projector light, and has a patterned indented surface. The selectively reflecting film 2 consists of a selectively reflecting layer 2a that reflects the light of the specific wavelength region but transmits the light of the other wavelength regions, and a film-formed base material 2b on which the selectively reflecting layer 2a is deposited. A diffusion structure 3 for diffusing the light to the film-formed base material 2b is formed by indenting a pattern on the selectively reflecting layer 2a. Moreover, an absorbing layer 4 for absorbing the light transmitted through the selectively reflecting layer 2a is arranged behind the selectively reflecting layer 2a.

The method for manufacturing the display device 1 includes the stages of: forming the contact layer 2 on the transparent base 8 with low heat resistance; forming the operating electrode 4 on the contact layer 2; arranging the 2nd electrode 7 opposite the operating electrode 4; and sandwiching the macromolecular solid-state electrolytic layer 6 containing the coloring material between the operating electrode 4 and 2nd electrode 7.
