    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a magnetic material which is readily flattened and usable at a communication frequency of 13.56 MHz; a magnetic sheet constituted of the magnetic material; and a portable electronic apparatus using the same. SOLUTION: The magnetic material comprises an Fe alloy magnetic material (containing Fe as a primary component and Si, Al (or Cr), etc. added thereto), such as an Fe-Si-Al-based or Fe-Si-Cr-based material, and phosphorous of 0.2 to 0.5 wt.% added to the Fe alloy magnetic material. The amount of added P is obtained from a communication distance and a performance index, etc., based upon a parameter of coercive force. For example, when a magnetic sheet with a thickness of 0.25 mm is used for an antenna module, the performance index of the magnetic sheet represented as μ'×Q is preferably ≥600 in order to secure a communication distance of ≥100 mm. SOLUTION: The antenna module comprises a loop-like antenna coil 21, a signal processing circuit unit 41 electrically connected to the antenna coil 21, a substrate 42 for supporting the antenna coil 21 and the circuit unit 41, and a shield structure 60 for shielding the signal processing circuit unit. The shield structure 60 consists of a metallic foil 61 formed on one surface of the substrate 42 so as to cover the signal processing circuit unit, and a metal plate 44 arranged oppositely to the other surface of the substrate 42 with a magnetic plate 43 sandwiched. Further, the metallic foil 61 is electrically connected to the metal plate 44, thereby improving a shield effect of the circuit unit 41 and miniaturizing the antenna module.
