    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling arrangement used for an electrical machine and having a reduced dimension. SOLUTION: The arrangement used to cool an electrical machine has a rotor and a stator, while an air gap is provided between the rotor and the stator. The rotor and the stator has configurations to enable the circulation of air for cooling-purposes of the rotor and of the stator. The rotor and the stator are encapsulated by a shell. The shell is formed to enable the flow of hot air from the rotor and the stator to a heat exchanger and where the shell is formed to allow the flow of cool air from the heat exchanger back to the rotor and the stator for cooling purposes.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a device for cooling an electrical machine.
      SOLUTION: The electrical machine G includes a rotor R and a stator S, while an air-gap AG is formed between the rotor R and the stator S. The stator S includes a plurality of stacked laminate-plates L. The laminate-plates L have on a first side FS facing the air-gap AG, a plurality of slots to carry metal-windings of a stator-coil. The laminate-plates L are positioned and fixed by means for structural support and by end-plates EP1, EP2 in relation to a central-part CP of the stator S to achieve a certain air-gas AG. A joint cavity is formed by the end-plates EP1, EP2, the central-part of the stator S and an internal surface IS of the laminate-plates. The internal surface is defined by a second surface SS of the laminate-plates L, while the second side is opposite to the first side. The cavity is coupled with an air-cooling-arrangement F1, HX, which is used to circulate a gaseous medium for cooling purposes from the cavity to the air-gap AG and the laminate-plates L back into the cavity.
