SOLUTION: The method for rooting cuttage comprises spraying or applying a liquid or emulsion containing a ketolunsaturated fatty acid being 5-24C ketolfatty acid, having 1-6 numbers of double bond between carbon atoms and having α-ketol structure or γ-ketol structure as an active ingredient compound to a tree of the genus Prunus, a tree of the genus Hypericum or a tree of the genus Paraserianthes of the family Leguminosae or impregnating the above tree into the liquid containing the active ingredient compound to root the cuttage.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new plant disease resistance-inducing agent which can prevent various plant diseases without agrochemicals, such as fungicides, causing various loads such as environmental pollutions.
      SOLUTION: This plant disease resistance-inducing agent is characterized by containing a ketol unsaturated fatty acid of 5-24 carbon atoms which has one to six carbon-carbon double bonds and has an α-ketol structure or γ-ketol structure. Especially, 9-hydroxy-10-oxo-12(Z), 15(Z)-octadecadienoic acid is preferable as the ketol unsaturated fatty acid. The plant disease resistance-inducing agent can induce the expression of disease-resistant genes to prevent various plant diseases. Thus, the various plant diseases can be prevented without agrochemicals, such as fungicides, causing various loads such as environmental pollutions. The substances used for the induction have chemical structures and chemical properties largely different from those of conventional inducing agents, and leads the development of the plant disease resistance-inducing agents in a new direction.
