    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cosmetic having a sufficient glossy feeling, usability, and coloring power (black color).
      SOLUTION: The cosmetic comprises a platy black iron oxide having an average particle diameter of 5-100 μm and a thickness of 0.2-0.3 μm, the surface of which is subjected to coating treatment with at least one kind of hydrous or anhydrous inorganic oxides of silicon, aluminum, titanium, zirconium, tin and the like. Desirably, the platy black iron oxide incorporated is further subjected to hydrophobizing treatment. The amount of the platy black iron oxide incorporated is 0.05-30 mass%, preferably 1-20 mass% in the entire amount of the cosmetic.
