      SOLUTION: Titanated mica particle is coated with fine iron oxide powder having an average particle diameter of 60-150 nm. The product is used as a skin color controlling agent for making the dark spot of the skin inconspicuous (a substance having a transmission interference color complimentary to the color of the skin to be controlled). The transmitted interference color is not weakened with the coloring agent because the product has small absorption of light with the surface iron oxide.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a superior color tone and magnetic properties, by forming Ti dioxide layer on a mica substrate and forming a ferrite layer contg. other bivalent metal species than Fe thereon.
      SOLUTION: The powder 10 has mica 12 at the center with a Ti dioxide layer 14 formed around it and a ferrite layer 16 contg. other metal dioxide species than Fe, further formed around it. The ferrite layer 16 has usually a black or dark brown color. When a white light 18 is incident here, the ferrite layer 16 limits the light transmission quantity and the appearance color of the powder 10 is regarded as enhancing the color of an interference light 24. The ferrite layer 16 covered with an outermost layer is 5-280 wt.% of the mica, the bivalent metal species is Co and/or Mn, and a base painted with the powder has a color tone of a low brightness of 70 or less such as green or blue.
