    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a window sash which has excellent sound insulation performance, with design in mind. SOLUTION: A four-side frame 10 is formed of a tubular member 1 in a rectangular cross section; and two spacer members 5 and 5 and two beads 6 and 6 are fixed on the inner peripheral surface 10a of each side of the four-side frame 10. Glass sheets 2 and 2 are sandwiched between the spacer member 5 and the bead 6, so that the two glass sheets 2 and 2 can be fixed at a predetermined spacing in the four-side frame 10. In addition, a communication hole 3, which communicates a hollow portion 11 with a clearance layer 13 is formed between the glass sheets 2 and 2, is provided on the side of the inner peripheral surface 10a of the four-side frame 10. Since a resonator is formed by providing the communication hole 3 on the internally-hollow four-side frame 10, the window sash has a mechanism in which its sound insulation performance is enhanced by the sound absorbing action of the resonator.
