The thin plates 51, 52,... of a collimator 5 are supported on the circumference 4 so that they can swing around points 61, 62... on the border of adjacent detectors 31 and 32. Since gamma-rays irradiated from the body 1 to be detected pass through gaps between auxiliary thin plates 71, 72... and reach one detector, collimation in the direction of the circumference 4 is improved. When the thin plates 51 and 52 are swung, the auxiliary thin plates 71, 72... swing. For this reason, gamma-rays in various directions can be detected by the same detector, and the entire data can be obtained in a short period of time. Further, since the collimator 5 is constituted by thin plates, the construction of the device can be made compact, and since the detectors 31, 32... are fixed, the reliability of the device can be improved.

Thereby, after the data about the sectional layers of A2 and A2 have been obtained at first, if the mask 5 is moved leftward, the data about the sectional layers of A1 and B1 can be obtained next.

摘要： PURPOSE:To changeover the high resolution with the high sensitivity by slid- switching an inner collimator. CONSTITUTION:Multiple radiation detectors consist of combining scintillators 1 with photomultipliers 2 in a ring shape around a patient 8 who is an object are arranged within the plane perpendicular to the body axis 0-0 of the object 8. Ringlike collimators 3a, 3b are disposed on the incident side of the ringlike arrangement of these radiation detectors, and are respectively supported by support rings 4a, 4b. The rings 4a, 4b rotate integrally in an arrow direction by being driven with a motor 7 via transmission mechanisms such as gears 5, 6 provided on the outside circumference at the rear end of the ring 4a. Althrough the ring 4b on the inner side rotates integrally with the ring 4a on the outer side, it is so arranged that it can retreat by sliding backward in the arrow direction of the axis 0-0.
