    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide first supply means for supplying articles for sorting operation to conveyance means, and second supply means for supplying and recalling reference articles to/from the conveyance means, and then supply the reference articles by the second supply means in a test operation to convey the reference articles by circulation only for predetermined circling, and recall the reference articles after the testing by the second supply means for automatization and prevention of mixture of the reference articles.SOLUTION: An article sorting apparatus includes: conveyance means 3; supply means 1 and 2 for supplying articles to holding parts 8 of the conveying means 3; article property inspection means; and allocating means for allocating the articles to sorting vessels. The supply means 1 and 2 include: first supply means 1 for supplying the articles to the conveyance means 3 in a sorting operation; and second supply means 2 for supplying and recalling reference articles to/from the conveyance means in a test operation. The second supply means 2 supplies the reference articles to the conveyance means 3 and recalls the reference articles conveyed by circulation only for predetermined circling.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it unnecessary to endlessly re-inspect an article to be re-inspected, and to increase the efficiency of article classification by grasping how many times the article has been re-inspected by enabling inspection success/failure determination means to allow the article to be re-inspected without allowing it to be discharged from a holding part.SOLUTION: An article classification device includes: conveyance means 3 constituted of a rotor having a holding part of an article and means for driving the rotor, and provided with a discharging position where the article is discharged from the holding part; article supply means to a holding part 8 and article characteristic inspection means disposed on a conveyance path of the conveyance means 3; inspection success/failure determination means for allowing an inspection success article to be discharged at the discharging position 14, and for allowing an inspection failure article to be re-inspected; and distribution means for distributing discharged articles into classifications on the basis of the characteristics. The inspection success/failure determination means does not allow the article to be re-inspected to be discharged from the holding part 8, but allows it to pass the discharging position 14 and a supply position 10, and when the article to be re-inspected passes the supply position 10, stops the supply of the article to achieve the re-inspection of the article.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for picking up an electronic component capable of preventing the electronic component from being ejected or inclined at the pickup position without providing any stopper means or a shutter.
      SOLUTION: The device for picking up the electronic component comprises a conveying means 2 for surrounding the periphery of a plurality of electronic components 1 and conveying them, a pickup position A provided forward of the conveying direction of the electronic components by the conveying means, and a pickup nozzle 7 for holding the electronic components fed to the pickup position and taking out them from the pickup position. The pickup nozzle is located at a guide position B for guiding the feed of the electronic components to the pickup position when the electronic components are fed to the pickup position A. The pickup nozzle located at the guide position is capable of preventing the electronic components 1 from being ejected or inclined when the electronic components are fed to the pickup position A. Thus, any separate stopper means or shutter need not be additionally provided to prevent the electronic components from being ejected or inclined.
