    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soil improving apparatus which can reduce manufacturing costs and can enhance efficiency of execution of work, because an increase in the strength of the whole apparatus is made unnecessary and the constitution of the whole apparatus is simplified.
      SOLUTION: This soil improving apparatus 1, in which soil is improved by excavating an excavated groove 9 by means of a rotary drive part (rotary means) 10 which is provided at a lower end of an ascending/descending device 4 ascendable/descendable along a guide rail 2 supported on a base machine 3, is characterized a follows: the drive part 10 is equipped with an upper hollow motor (first hollow motor) 30, an inner shaft (first rotating shaft) 13 which is coupled to the hollow motor 30, a lower hollow motor (second hollow motor) 40, and an outer shaft (second rotating shaft) 14 which is coupled to the hollow motor 40; the respective hollow motors 30 and 40 are provided so as to be vertically aligned in a row; the inner shaft 13 is internally inserted into the outer shaft 14; and the inner shaft 13 and the outer shaft 14 are constituted so as to be rotatable in mutually opposite directions.

The cutters 4 comprise cutter shafts 41 which are provided obliquely with respect to the power shaft 2 so that leading ends can get close to each other in the state of protruding in a face direction and so that base ends can get close to the power shaft 2, and which are each rotated on an axial center; and driven bevel gears 42 which are each formed on the base end side of the cutter shaft 41 so as to be meshed with the bevel gear 3, and which are each rotated on the cutter shaft 41 by the power transmitted from the bevel gear 3.
