    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing apparatus and the like that eliminate an unstable feed from a start of feed of a recording medium until torque balance becomes stable, at a medium feeding part.SOLUTION: The printing apparatus includes: the medium feeding part 14 for feeding the recording medium 4 with a first feeding part 21 and a second feeding part 22; and a printing part 15 located downstream in a medium feed direction to the medium feeding part 14. The apparatus prints by synchronizing with drive of the printing part 15 to feed the recording medium 4 with the medium feeding part 14. In a feed control method of the printing apparatus, a steady unit feed amount in a state where the torque balance between the first feeding part 21 and the second feeding part 22 generated by a feed amount difference of the recording medium 4 becomes stable is set as a reference feed amount, and an initial unit feed amount from the start of the recording medium 4 to when the torque balance becomes stable is corrected to be equal to the reference feed amount.
