    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress scattering of an ink mist and obtain a satisfactory recording result by making the ink mist less visible even when the ink mist is adhered to a recording surface in a device including a configuration for conveying an object to be conveyed by using a conveying belt.SOLUTION: An inkjet printer 1 includes: a conveying belt 9 for transporting a recording sheet attached by electrostatic attraction; and belt charging means 14 for charging the conveying belt 9. The belt charging means 14 forms a mounting area on which the recording sheet is mounted into a charged area in which negatively charged areas En and positively charged areas Ep are arranged in a lattice-like form. As a result, even when floating ink droplets are adhered on the recording sheet by being influenced by the charged area, the ink droplets are distributed overall, so that adhesion of the ink droplets can be made less visible.

An ink mist positively charged by Lennard effect is attracted by the negatively charged area outside the mounting area of the sheets, so that floating of the ink mist in the device is suppressed.
