    • PURPOSE:To smoothly rock an air flow deflecting plate by a method wherein the movement of the air flow deflecting plate, which tends to move down by gravity faster than the rotating speed of a motor, is checked by a buffer, which is equipped so as to oppose in the rocking direction of the air flow deflecting plate. CONSTITUTION:When an air flow deflecting plate 5 is slightly inclined by a motor 14, the center of gravity of the plate 5 shifts to the forward side (the leftward side in the attached figure) of a fulcrum shaft 3, the plate 5 tends to move down counterclockwise by gravity faster than the rotating speed of a motor 14, because clearances exist in the turning force transfer mechanism of a motor. However, because the spring force of a buffer 17 applied to a rocking shaft 8 checks the gravity applied to the plate 5, the air flow deflecting plate 5 is smoothly pivoted by the turning force of the motor, which overcomes the spring force. With the smooth pivoting of the plate 5, the blowing-off direction of conditioned air is gradually and smoothly deflected obliquely downwards.
