      SOLUTION: This garbage disposer is provided with a drying chamber 5 for housing garbage; a body casing 6 covering the drying chamber 5; a heating means 4 heating the garbage in the drying chamber 5; an air supply path 8 supplying atmospheric air to the drying chamber 5; a supply air temperature detection means 19 detecting the temperature of air passing through the air supply path 8; a discharge path 10 discharging the air in the drying chamber 5 to the outside of the body casing 6; a discharge air temperature detection means 32 detecting the temperature of air passing through the discharge path 10; and a control part stopping the heating means 4 when the discharge air temperature detection means 32 detects a temperature higher than that detected by the supply air temperature detection means 19 by a prescribed value or higher. A back pressure detection means is provided to detect the back pressure of the air passing through the discharge path 10, and the control part corrects the given value on the basis of the output of the back pressure detection means.
