    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an vacuum cleaner capable of promoting separation of dust and air by further performing the centrifugation of air current having a low dust density, which results from a first centrifugation.
      SOLUTION: In the vacuum cleaner, dust flows in from a suction air flow-in mouth 6 (in a direction indicated by an arrow a) and passes through a circular spiral passage 13 so that a centrifugal force acts on. Most of the dust is separated in a first dust collection chamber 11 by a first centrifuging part 14 through an outer passage (in a direction indicated by arrows b, c, and d). A radius of a passage of a narrow passage 15 is decreased and the passage is further narrowed by a narrowing member 16 so as to accelerate the spiral passage in order to apply a strong centrifugal force to minute dust not separated by the first centrifuging part 14 (in a direction indicated by arrows e and f). Fine dust is separated in an inside passage by a second centrifuging part 17 using the strong centrifugal force (in a direction indicated by an arrow h), and the resulted dust can be accumulated in a second dust collection part 12.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply unit which detects welding of a main relay of a battery pack, with a simple circuit structure using a leakage detection circuit.SOLUTION: A power supply unit having a battery pack 1 connected to a load 30 through a main relay 2A on the plus side and a main relay 2B on the minus side allows a leakage detection circuit 5A on the plus side and a leakage detection circuit 5B on the minus side to detect leakage. The power supply unit is provided with an intermediate potential detecting circuit 6 which detects the electric voltages of the intermediate contact point 11X of the battery pack 1 and the chassis ground 35. The electric voltage of the intermediate contact point 11X of the battery pack 1 is detected with the leakage detection switches 21 of the leakage detection circuit 5A on the plus side and the leakage detection circuit 5B on the minus side turned on and off, so that the welding of the main relay 2 is detected.
