SOLUTION: Uniform brightness distribution is obtained over the whole effective display area by changing a light reflection path of the light guiding plate and shifting a portion of the light supplied to a bright region of the effective display area to a dark region darker than the bright region. Consequently a liquid crystal display device has an effect of improved display quality by displaying information with improved brightness. The reflection type liquid crystal display device having the uniform and high luminance can be realized even if the light source in low power consumption is used by disposing the light source part generating the light and the light guide part uniformly guiding the light generated by the light source part in the LCD panel part. Then the moire phenomenon can be prevented by forming a pattern 20 having an array and a shape capable of preventing the moire phenomenon on the upper part surface of the light guide part and the uniform and high luminance can be obtained even in low power consumption, while the thickness and the weight of the entire liquid crystal display device is minimized.
