    • PURPOSE:To prevent annularly piled-up bricks from dropping by a method wherein a fixing anchor having a barrel part and deformable vanes is inserted into and struck into a hole formed between a pair of position setting bricks and some refractory materials are filled. CONSTITUTION:A fixing anchor 4 is comprised of a cylindrical barrel part 5 and deformable vanes 6 expanded toward an outer circumference from the barrel part 5 As this fixing anchor 4 is driven into a through-pass hole formed between a pair of position setting bricks 3a and 3b, its outer circumferential vanes 6 are expanded, so that the annular set bricks are set or fastened at their outer circumferences. Accordingly, even if a remained thickness of the brick is decreased, a joint between the bricks is not loosened under a rotation of a kiln and thus it is possible to prevent the bricks from being dropped. Some castable refractories 7 are filled in the through-pass hole in order to prevent any corrosion of the fixing anchor 4.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent the exfoliation of an oxidation preventive agent and the adhesion to a nozzle and to extend the service life of the stopper by coating the entire outside surface of the stopper body consisting of refractories with the oxidation preventive agent and coating at least the nozzle contact part of the outside surface thereof with an adhesion preventive layer and a moisture absorption preventive agent. CONSTITUTION:The entire outside surface of the body of the stopper 2 consisting of the refractories contg. graphite or carbon or impregnated with tar, pitch or resin is coated with the oxidation preventive layer 3 essentially consisting of a SiO2-Al2O3 type material. At least the part of the outside surface of this oxidation preventive layer 3 where the layer comes into contact with the nozzle is then coated with the adhesion preventive layer 4 consisting of an Al2O3 type material and the entire outside surface of the adhesion preventive layer 4 is coated with the moisture absorption preventive layer 5. The oxidation of the stopper body 2 is, therefore, prevented by the oxidation preventive layer 3 and the damping of the oxidation preventive layer 3 is prevented by the moisture absorption preventive layer 5 on the outermost layer. Further, the moisture absorption preventive layer 5 melts and the adhesion to the nozzle is prevented by the adhesion preventive layer 4 at the time of use.
