摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust braking force according to various states by movably connecting a tubular section to a first end section at the middle position of a brake cable so that it can be moved by the prescribed adjustment stroke along the longitudinal axis between the first end section and a second end section. SOLUTION: A tubular casing 20 has a first opening end section 30 and a second opening end section 32, and a longitudinal axis extends between the end sections 30, 32. The tubular casing 20 is a hollow tubular body made of aluminum or a hard resin as a preferable embodiment. A regulating nut or a regulating member 28 is connected to a first block member 22, and the first block member 22 is movably arranged in the outer tubular casing 20 near the first opening end section 30. A second block member 24 is arranged in the outer tubular casing 20 in the fixed state near the second opening end section 32. The tubular casing 20 is arranged at the middle position of a brake cable, it has high flexibility, and it is adaptable to various brake devices.

摘要： PURPOSE:To provide a brake device for a bicycle which is constituted to facilitate manufacture as a brake arm is assembled to a brake base smoothly rotatably in such a manner to prevent the occurrence of jolting. CONSTITUTION:The boss part 4a of a brake arm 4 is fitted externally of the support shaft part 12a of a brake base seat 12 through a bush 13 and smooth rotation is effected through operation of the bush 13. The end face 13a on the car body side of the bush 13 does not make contact with the seat surface 12b of the brake base seat 12. The brake arm 4 is firmly supported by the brake base seat 12 not through the bush 13 so that jolting is difficult to occur between the brake arm 4 and the brake base seat 12 even when the butt end face 4b of the boss part 4a is brought into contact with the seat surface 12b of the brake base seat 12 and a brake shoe is brought into contact with a wheel and the rotation force of a wheel is exerted on a brake arm 4. This constitution causes loose fitting of the bush 13 in the boss part 4a so as to prevent the occurrence of fitting-in distortion and assembly of the bush 13 to the boss part 4a in a state that there is no need to remove a strain after fitting-in.

The cable actuating mechanism is movably arranged between an axial directional retreating position and an axial directional extending position, and is provided with first and second cam members having a guide member for connecting the mutual cam members when moving between both positions.
