    • PURPOSE:To restrain and prevent the generation of the fin due to the scarfing work, by injecting the incombustible gas or the air to both sides of the jet stream of the scarfing oxygen so as to form the gaseous mixture; and to make possible the scarfing breadth to be selective width, by arranging plural sets of the tip in the direction of scarfing breadth. CONSTITUTION:By selecting the tip A, the inert gas or air, for preventing generation of the fin, is fed from the paths 25, 26, to the chambers 11, 12, and is injected from the injection nozzles 18, 19, through the pipe path 15. The scarfing oxygen is fed from the path 22a to the chamber 8a and is injected from the scarfing oxygen injecting nozzle 23a through the path 24; hereby, the purity of oxygen on both sides of the oxygen stream is reduced, so that the soarfed plane free from sticking of the fin due to the tip A can be obtained. In case of the scarfing of wide breadth, the tips A, B, etc., are selected, and the gas for spreventing the generation of the fin is injected from the injection nozzles 18, 20, and the scarfing oxygen is injected from the injection nozzles 23a, 23b, etc., and the injection nozzle 19, and the scarfed plane free from sticking of the wide fin can be obtained.

    • PURPOSE:To reduce the oxygen purity on both sides of the jet stream of scarfing oxygen on purpose to prevent sticking of the fin on both sides of scarfed zone, by simultaneously injecting air or incombustible gas from both sides of the injection port fot the scarfing oxygen at the scarfing tip. CONSTITUTION:The scarfing oxygen is injected from the injection port 7 being supplied from the chamber 4 through the path 6. Air or the incombustible gas is supplied from the chamber 5 through the path 10, and is injected from the injection port 11 communicated to the oxygen injection port 7; hereby, air or incombustible gas is mixed with the oxygen jet stream nearby the tip of the injection port 7, and the oxygen purity over the injection breadth of the scarfing oxygen is reduced. This air or incombustible gas for preventing the fin is injected at the injection pressure 1.0-4.8 times of the oxygen injection pressure, and the injection angle is 0-5 degrees inclined inward. According to this method, the fin to be generated by the scarfing work does not stick to both sides of the scarfed plane, so that the removing work for the fin at the later process becomes unnecessary.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain the cut surface to which no dross adheres by performing piercing to a cutting material, and cutting it by forming at least one closed circuit between its position and a graphic which becomes a product. CONSTITUTION:A dross-free speed range in which no dross adheres in accordance with plate thickness of a cutting material exists. As for this speed range, the dross-free speed range is wider in the case of executing a running start from the end face of the cutting material than in the case of executing a piercing start from the surface of the cutting material. In this state, piercing is performed to a prescribed position 3 on the cutting material 1, the position 3 is set as a start position of cutting and a closed circuit 4 is formed between the position and graphic 2, and by allowing it to intersect with a cut groove 6 which is cut already in an intersection 5 of this closed circuit 4, notching by a running start method in which the cut groove 6 is an end face of the cutting material 1 is executed. In such a way, a continuous adhesion of a dross is cut off, and a product to which no dross adheres can be obtained.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a secure ignition in one operation to form a flame on a nozzle mounted on the head of a manually operated gas working apparatus which is operated by holding a grip pipe by an operator. SOLUTION: In a gas working apparatus in which the head 2 with the nozzle 3 mounted thereon is arranged at the front end of the apparatus and the grip pipe 1 is mounted at the rear end of the apparatus, a burner port for ignition 4 having an ignition electrode 35 is arranged close to the head 2, a fuel gas pipe 14, a combustion supporting gas pipe 13, and an ignition gas pipe 15 contained in the grip pipe are connected to a control block B. Respective gas passages formed in the control block B are provided with a fuel gas valve 31, a combustion supporting gas valve 32, an ignition gas valve 33, and an ignition control member 34, and an ignition flame is formed on the burner port for ignition 4 and gas is ignited at the nozzle 3 by operating respective valves 31 through 33 and the ignition control member 34 with a lever 36.
