摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an installation structure for a connection box, which can make heat radiation of a directly embedded type power cable efficient, and can reduce the width of a joint bay. SOLUTION: This structure possesses a power cable 2, which is to be embedded directly in the ground, a connection box 4 for a power cable, which is to be embedded in the ground likewise, and a heat-radiating plate 6 which is to be arranged between the power cable 2 and the connection box 2 and the surface 5 of the ground. Since this can easily radiate the heat generated by the power cable or the connection box to the surface of the ground, this can prevent the maximal reached temperature of a conductor from increasing by more than the allowable value, and can reduce the width of a joint bay.

摘要： PURPOSE:To prevent the useless transfer of quantity of cool heat from an outgoing cooling water pipe to an incoming cooling water pipe through air by making the diameter of the cooling water pipes smaller and successively branching the water pipes as going further from a cooling station which becomes a cooling water supplying and discharging end so as to increase the effective surface area of the water pipes contributing to the cooling. CONSTITUTION:The substantial surface area of cooling water pipes is increased by branching (a) the water pipes so that the number of pipes can become double as going further 1-2km from a cooling station. For example, the number of water pipes is increased from one pipeline in a water supplying end area A so that outgoing cooling water pipes 3 and incoming cooling water pipes 4 can be secures two each in a central area B and four each in the furthest end area C. In the section of an underground tunnel where the cooling water pipes are branched into two or more, therefore, the quantity of heat absorbed to the cooling water pipes can be increased as compared with the conventional system by the increased amount of the effective surface area of the water pipes and the inside of the tunnel can be cooled effectively without lowering the cooling efficiency even the area is far from the water supplying end.
