摘要： PURPOSE:A herbicidal composition, containing a novel compound and alachlor, etc. as active constituents, and capable of controlling completely narrow-leaved and broad-leaved weeds sufficiently in cultivated lands of corn, etc. even in a smaller amount of chemicals than the use of single chemicals by the synergistic action without exhibiting phytotoxicity to the corn, etc. CONSTITUTION:A herbicidal composition containing a novel compound of the formula (R1 is H, CH3 or OCH3; R2 is lower alkyl; R3 is H, halogen, R2 or lower alkoxyl) having the herbicidal action and alachlor (=N-methoxymethyl-2, 6-diethyl-alpha-chloroacetanilide), 2-chloro-N-(2-ethyl-6-methylphenyl)-N-(2-methoxy- 1-methylethyl)acetamide or ethyl N-chloroacetyl-N-(2,6-diethylphenyl)glycinate which are already used widely as the herbicide as active constituents. The above-mentioned mixture is usable in cultivated lands of vegetables, e.g. cabbages, etc., orchards, noncultivated lands, etc.

CONSTITUTION:The objective herbicidal composition contains (A) the compound of formula [R is lower alkyl, cycloalkyl or halo(lower alkyl)] and (B) 3-isopropyl-1H-2,1,3-benzothiadiazin-4(3H)-one 2,2-dioxide or its salt at a weight ratio of 1:1-20. The composition has selective herbicidal activity to wide variety of weeds (e.g. common morning-glory, sensitive-joint-vetch, etc.) especially in soybean field, and is effective at a low rate of application since the herbicidal effect is synergistically increased compared with the separate use of each component.

The above-mentioned mixture is not only capable of extending the weeding spectrum but also usable in pre- emergence to post-emergence treatments of weeds to extend the width of application period.
