摘要： PURPOSE:To always obtain a stable sampling clock by deciding whether or not the main output of a second PLL circuit is in a regulated value between synchronizing signals, and switching the inputs to a first and the second PLL circuits by the output of said decision. CONSTITUTION:A synchronizing signal deciding means 9 counts the main output of the second PLL circuit 13 i.e. the output of an oscillator 13d, and decides whether or not the counting is in the regulated value; if it is, the synchronizing signal is normal, and the means 9 supplies the synchronizing signal to the second PLL circuit 13 via a switching means 12. Also, if the counting value is out of the regualted value, the synchronizing signal is abnormal, and the frequency division output of the first PLL circuit 10 is supplied to the second PLL circuit 13 via the switching means. When the counting value is in the regulated value, a synchronizing signal is supplied to the first PLL circuit 10, and if not in the regulated value, the supply of synchronizing signal is interrupted. As a result, always stable sampling clocks suitable for the digitizing of data can be generated.

The output of this field-discrimination and a control signal in a specific pattern are logically processed to select a specific field. Thus selected field is made as a field reference which is one of the factors to form a sample area. In such a way, one same circuit is made usable either in the normal reproduction mode or the varied-speed reproduction mode, hence the circuit constitution of the titled device can be simplified, and the cost can be reduced.
