    • PURPOSE: To make it possible to obtain various characteristics with a bimorph plate of the same shape. CONSTITUTION: The bimorph plate 1 consists of two sheets of piezoelectric ceramics 11, 12, an intermediate electrode 13 and external electrodes 14, 15. The surfaces of the external electrodes 14, 15 of such bimorph plate 1 are provided respectively with vibration adjusting plates 16, 17. The adjustment of a resonance frequency is executed by the bimorph plate 1 of the same shape by changing the width of these vibration adjusting plates 16, 17. Further, one end of such bimorph plate 1 is fixed within, for example, a rotary drum by fixing parts 2, 3 and the other end is provided with a head chip 5 via a holder 4. Displacement is applied on the piezoelectric ceramics 11, 12 and the height of the head chip 5 is changed when the prescribed voltage is impressed between the intermediate electrode 13 and the external electrodes 14, 15.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic head device of which the number of parts, the assembly cost, and the manufacturing cost or the like can be reduced by eliminating the need of wiring processing for drive voltage application and in which the noise of and electrostatic discharge damage to a magnetic head to be mounted in an actuator are prevented.
      SOLUTION: A head chip 25 having the magnetic head 24 is attached to a movable end of a piezoelectric plate 20b of a piezoelectric bimorph 20 comprising a pair of piezoelectric plates 20a and 20b and an intermediate electrode 20c held between the plates 20a and 20b. A fixed end side of the piezoelectric bimorph 20 is held between an upper holder 41 having a screw hole 41a to be fixed to a rotary drum having a ground potential and a base holder 42 and fixed by an adhesive, and the upper holder 41 and the base holder 42 are fixed to the rotary drum by a conductive screw 43. A pin contact 44 is brought into contact with the intermediate electrode of the piezoelectric bimorph, and prescribed drive voltage is applied to the intermediate electrode.

    • PURPOSE:To control quantity of bending displacement of a piezoelectric plate and to adjust a video head by controlling driving voltage impressed to the upper end fixed part of a conductive holder holding a base end part of a bimorph plate between them, the lower end fixed part and an intermediate electrode. CONSTITUTION:A bimorph plate 10 is an electromechanical conversion device in which two piezoelectric plates 6, 8 are stuck together with adhesive of an epoxy resin group by holding an intermediate electrode 7 between them, surface electrodes 5, 9 are formed by electrode materials from the fixed end to a free end on the piezoelectric plate 6, 8. A base end part 10b being the fixed end of the bimorph plate 10 is held between the upper end fixed part 14a of a conductive holder 14 and the lower end fixed part 14b. Fixed parts 14a, 14b of the upper end and the lower end are formed by conductive materials so as to be conductive to the surface electrodes 5, 9. Two piezoelectric plates 6, 8 stuck together are bent and shifted by impressing driving voltage to the base end parts of the surface electrodes 5, 9 and an intermediate electrode 7 and extending or contracting each piezoelectric plate 6, 8 in the reverse direction each other for the direction of extension and contraction.
