摘要： PURPOSE:To improve the decorative properties of a hand rail by forming a decorative rubber layer in a state that a plurality of different color rubber simple substances are joined together in the direction of length and approximately in a vertical direction, in a substance wherein a decorative layer is formed on the outer periphery of a core formed approximately in a C-shape in cross section. CONSTITUTION:A hand rail 10 for a passenger conveyor has a core 12 formed approximately in a C-shape in cross section such that end parts 11a on both sides of belt-like canvasses 11 laminated together through adhesive are bent. The core 12 has durability which is improved by means of a plurality of tension members 13 formed of a steel wire and nipped between the canvasses 11. A decorative layer 14 is laminated on the outer periphery of the core 12. In the so formed hand rail 10, the decorative rubber layer 14 is formed such that different color rubbers (first and second belt-like rubber materials 22 and 23) are joined together at an irregular jointing line 26 in a state that seams are blurred with each other. The jointing is formed in a way that a rubber material at the jointing end part of different color unvulcanized is decrease/increased or cut in a folded line-form manner.

The styrene content of the styrene/butadiene copolymer is preferably 10-30wt%. When this content is below 10wt%, the mechanical properties are decreased, while when it is above 30wt%, the low-temperature resistance is poor. The resin content of a mixture of SBR and BR and/or natural rubber is preferably 45-70wt% based on the total composition. The ratio of SBR to the other rubbers is preferably 40-80:60- 20.

SOLUTION: A handrail for a moving passage is structured so that facial canvases 5 formed from conductive wires as warps or wafts arranged at certain intervals and a plurality of polyeter canvases 6 are laminated while a reinforcing member 7 is interposed in between. The structure is solidified by pressure attachment using adhesive rubber and a core body 4 is formed in a C-section and thereupon a decorative rubber layer 11 is provided. The conductive wire used may be a conductive thread 10 formed by winding a carbon fiber 9 on a polyester thread 8 or a conductive cord formed from a conductive polyamide resin with which carbon power is mixed and which is shaped into a cord form.

CONSTITUTION:In a high flame retardant vibration damping material composed of a base material 3 which is made of flame retardant elastic material having hollow parts within it, and a viscous composition 4 which is enclosed in the hollow parts and mainly composed of organic high polymer, silica powder and organic lead compound are contained in the viscous composition 4. The viscous substance 4 enclosed in the hollow parts within the high flame retardant vibration damping material, produces silicon carbide from organic high polymer and silica powder at combustion, due to reaction under existence of organic lead compound, and becomes ceramic-like hard extreme flame retardant substance. Consequently, this exhibits excellent flame retardancy without combination of halogen-series flame retarder, together with the fact that the base material is formed out of flame retardant elastic material.
