    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide composite powder which emits interference light giving an elegant fine scattered sense, when compounded with a makeup cosmetic, and does not deteriorate slipperiness, when used, and to provide a makeup cosmetic containing the composite powder.
      SOLUTION: Provided are the composite powder prepared by carrying plate-like powder particles having an average particle size of 1 to 70% based on the particle size of resin powder particles on the surfaces of the resin powder particles having an average particle size of 1 to 40 μm, wherein the refractive index of the plate-like powder particles is ≥2.2; and the makeup cosmetic containing the composite powder. Provided is a method for producing the composite powder, comprising giving frictional force and impact force to the resin powder particles and the plate-like powder particles to fix and carry the crushed products of the resin powder particles and/or the plate-like powder particles to the surfaces of the resin powder particles, thereby producing the composite powder.
