摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrogen and oxygen generator, easy for pressure control since the pressure fluctuation of a gaseous oxygen current contg. water generated on the anode side is reduced, not causing problems such as vibration, and without need for the detachment of the entire generator even when the parts are replaced. SOLUTION: Plural solid electrolyte membrane cells 40 each consisting of a solid electrolyte membrane 10, a porous feeder 20 attached to both sides of the membrane and a bipolar electrode plate 30 provided outside both porous feeders and acting as an anode and a cathode are laminated and integrated by providing end plated 60 and 60' on both ends to obtain a hydrogen and oxygen generating block 2, and the plural blocks are set in series to constitute a hydrogen and oxygen generator. In this case, the block 2 is fitted into a jacket member 6 consisting of an insulating material, and the jacket members are freely detachably spliced.

摘要： PURPOSE: To provide a hydrogen and oxygen generator capable of being operated at a high pressure without the sealing function being deteriorated even in the high-pressure operation, without leaking oxygen, hydrogen, water, etc., into the atmosphere from a gasket, developing only a small differential pressure between the anode side and cathode side even in the start-up of the generator and with the breakage of a solid electrolyte reduced. In the pure water circulating line 30, the pure water from the vessel 3 is depressurized through a pressure reducing valve 32, and the gaseous oxygen in the pure water is discharged through a dissolved oxygen separating tank 34. The pure water freed from gaseous oxygen is passed through a cooler 34 and the polisher 38 of a purifier and then through a filter 39 to remove the turbidity component. The purified and cooled pure water is circulated to the pure water tank 21.

In this case, the porous feeder 20 is placed in each chamber formed by the membrane 10, electrode plate 30 and a gasket 70, and an anode chamber A and a cathode chamber B are respectively clamped by an annular fixing part 20a on the peripheral part, the gasket 70 and a protective sheet 80, fixed and formed. Pure water is supplied to the electrode plate 30 from a nozzle 62 through the feeder 20 in the anode chamber A, gaseous oxygen is electrolytically generated, and gaseous hydrogen is generated on the cathode face of the electrode plate 30.
