    • PURPOSE: To obtain any desired rotational speed of a wind mill and the resultant torque in a wide range of wind speed, by means of such a structure that a conical resistant enclosing a cylindrical cam and a spring is engaged with a blade shaft and a gear, so as to control the pitch angle.
      CONSTITUTION: Resistant 4A is formed with a cylindrical cam 12A provided with a cam groove 12A and projecting from the inside of its top section. The tip of rotary shaft 21 is inserted in its central hole, while a pin 13 is fitted in the cam groove 12aA. The rotary shaft 21 is provided with a flange 22 to lock the resistant 4A, while a compression spring 23 is fitted between the flange 22 and cylindrical cam 12A. When the resistant 4A is forced backward due to a wind pressure by compressing the spring 23, the rotary shaft 21 is driven by the slant cam groove 12aA via the pin 13 to turn an angle corresponding to the present wind pressure, thus setting a required pitch angle of the blade 2.

    • PURPOSE:To heighten the wave proof of a boat, by providing the boat with a V- shaped sliding surface which extends on the central portion of the sliding surface of the V-shaped bottom of the boat body along almost the entire length of the latter sliding surface and has a width equal to one third to one fourth of that of the sliding surface of the bottom and is protruded downward, to reduce the water resistance in a wide speed range. CONSTITUTION:A V-shaped sliding surface 3, whose width is equal to one third to one fourth of that of the V-shaped sliding surface 2 of the bottom of a boat body 1, is protruded downward and extends on the central portion of the sliding surface 2 along almost the entire length of the surface 2. At the low speed, the boat proceeds with deep draft, the sliding surface 2 is deeply soaked in water and the boat is put in the same condition as a light boat of large sliding surface area so that the water resistance at the low speed is reduced. At the high speed, the draft is shallow, the ratio of the lower sliding surface 3 under water to the upper sliding surface 2 under water is made larger and the boat is put in the same condition as a heavy boat of small sliding surface area so that the water resistance at the high speed is reduced.

    • PURPOSE:To enable to operate a wind turbine at the maximum efficiency as against a given speed of wind, by supporting blades in a freely rotatable manner at the boss of a propeller type wind turbine, and changing the pitch angle of the blades by the aerodynamic force acted to an air stabilizing vane fixed to the blades. CONSTITUTION:Support rods 6 are fixed to each blade 5 to project backward with respect to the direction of rotation of the blades 5, i.e., toward the downstream side of wind, and the air stabilizing vane 7 is fixed to the tops of the support rods 6. These vane 7 function like a tail unit of an airplane to the direction W of air flow to hold the assembly of the blade 5 and the vane 7 in a required positional relationship. Here, since arrangement is such that the angle made by the chord line of the blade 5 to the direction W of air flow, i.e., the angle alpha of incidence is equal to an angle alpham at which the lift/drag ratio of the blade becomes maximum, the blade 5 is always turned around the axis O to a position where the efficiency is the maximum.
