    • PURPOSE:To have precision temp. control by furnishing a rotary insulation retaining a thermo-sensor at the wall of an insulative cylinder in such a way as rotatable, and thereby enlarging the insert depth of the thermo-sensor. CONSTITUTION:An insulative wall 20 is arranged inside a furnace shell 10 as an insulating cylinder in which a heater 30 is incorporated, while a rotary insulation 40 is installed rotatably in a notch 21 of this insulative wall 20 and retains a thermocouple meter 50 to sense the low range temp. in the furnace, and further a motor 60 is installed at outside lower part of the furnace shell 10 to rotate the rotary insulation 40. In case the interference temp. is in the operating range of the thermocouple meter 50, it is situated inside the furnace shell 10, and when the interference temp. transfers into the operating range of a radiative thermometer 90, the motor 60 is put in operation to move the thermocouple meter 50 to outside the insulative wall 20. When thereafter the interference temp. sinks from the operating range of the radiative thermometer 50 again to the operating range of the thermocouple meter 50, the motor 60 is operated to move the thermocouple meter 50 to inside the insulative wall 20.

    • PURPOSE:To thoroughly eliminate the danger of an explosion accident in the discharge line of a heat treatment furnace by admitting an inert gas into an upper stream side discharge line communicating the heat treatment furnace and a vacuum pump and a down stream side discharge line communicating with the discharge port of the vacuum pump. CONSTITUTION:The 1st inert gas supply line 11 is connected, near the discharge port 5b of the vacuum pump 5, to the down stream side discharge line 7 which communicates with the discharge port 5b and has an atm. releasing port 8 at the other end. The inert gas such as N2 is introduced via the 1st valve 12 into the down stream side discharge line 7. The upper stream side discharge line 6b between a main valve 9 and the suction port 5a of the vacuum pump 5 is communicated with the 2nd inert gas supply line line 13 branched from the 1st inert gas supply line 11. The 2nd valve 14 is opened or closed to admit the inert gas into the upper stream side discharge line 6b at a prescribed timing. The generation of the explosion accident by mixing of an explosive gas and oxygen in the discharge line during the operation of the vacuum pump 5 is thereby prevented.
