    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set an ink tank easily at a correct position of an ink carriage without complicating the structure or increasing the size. SOLUTION: A protrusion 1c is formed on the bottom face 1a of an ink tank 1 and a recess 2c for fitting the protrusion 1c is made in the floor face 2a constituting the mounting part of an ink carriage 2. The ink tank 1 is clamped between a protrusion 2b and the floor face 2a and movement of the ink tank 1 is regulated in the direction perpendicular to the floor face 2a. Front side of the protrusion 1c is brought into pressure contact with the inner circumferential surface of the recess 2c by the urging force of a press member 2e in order to regulate movement in the direction parallel with the floor face 2a, and the position of the ink tank 1 at the mounting part is determined only by a member on the back face side. The wall face 2f on the front side has no member for determining the position of the ink tank 1 and the height h is set to provide a sufficient open range in front of the mounting part in order to simply prevent falling of the ink tank 1 from the carriage 2. The mounting part is open forward and upward over a wide range.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate jam clearing operations inside a sheet processor without causing any increase in its installation space by designing its one side cover, to which members facing one surface of paper sheets along the paper feed path are integrally fixed, to move horizontally and then vertically relative to the processor body. SOLUTION: A right-hand side cover 101 supports those members which constitute a main feed path 12a and which face the right-hand surface of paper sheets in the figure, (including a right-hand register roller 20b, transfer charger 19 and pressure roller 13b), and those members which constitute a subsidiary feed path 12b. The side cover 101 is constructed to be pulled horizontally rightward from an image forming device 100 and then raised slantly rightward. The side cover 101 in addition supports those members which constitute the main feed path 12a and which face the right-hand sheet surface, (including the register roller 20b, transfer charger 19 and pressure roller 13b), and those members which constitute the subsidiary feed path 12b and which face the left-hand sheet surface, (including left-hand feed rollers 31a and 32a), such that all these members pivot integrally on a lower-end supporting point 101a.

    • PURPOSE:To reduce a sweeping stroke of suction ports by a factor of the number of the suction ports to obtain a small maintenance device and smoothly conduct the parallel displacement of the suction ports by a method wherein the two suction ports are spaced from each other by a distance obtained by dividing a length of an orifice array by the number of the suction ports. CONSTITUTION:A vertical shaft 21 and the tip ends of suction ports 19 are disposed in proximity to each other with respect to the crosswise direction of a printer body. A distance (d) is approximately one-half of a length of an array of orifices 4. The two suction ports 19 are so disposed as to abut on an orifice plate 5 at the orifices 4. In this manner, by rotating a drive lever 11 in a direction of an arrow C, the two suction ports 19 sweep the orifices 4 from end to end. A bubble in a pressure chamber of a nozzle head is swept through each of the orifices 4. In this manner, the stroke of the drive lever 11 is slightly smaller than one-half of a width (b) of the orifice plate 5.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a copy device, with which work for installing an automatic original feeder in the body of a copy machine can be performed in a short time with a simple procedure, the feeding speed of originals can be controlled in simple configuration and further, the cost is reduced. SOLUTION: This copy device is provided with an automatic original feeder, which is equipped with an original feeding means, for reading originals while feeding the originals and the body of the copy machine for transferring these read image data onto a paper, and the automatic original feeder is provided with a first memory for storing speed information for specifying the feeding speed of the original feeding means and a feeding speed control means for controlling the original feeding speed based on the speed information stored in this first memory. Besides, the body of the copy machine is provided with a second memory for storing original reading speed information and a reading speed control means for controlling an original reading speed based on the original reading speed information stored in this second memory and the feeding speed control means corrects a copy magnification by making the original feeding speed information coincident with the relevant reading speed.
