    • PURPOSE:To obtain an inexpensive hard porous printing element free of distortion of a printing surface and capable of expressing a fine-fibered impression, by providing a porous sintered body of hard particulates to constitute a main body of the printing element, and grinding the printing surface of the main body to obtain a smooth printing surface. CONSTITUTION:A hard porous printing element comprises a main body constituted of a porous sintered body comprising numerous hard particulates, and a printing surface of the main body is ground to be a smooth printing surface. The hard porous printing element is produced by molding the main body from a material comprising an easily soluble substance and hard particulates having a melting point lower than that of the easily soluble substance as main constituents, sintering the molded main body, and eluting the easily soluble substance. An end face of a printing part of the main body thus sintered is ground to be the smooth printing surface on which ground end faces of the hard particulates are exposed. It is general that the hard particulates are particulates of a glass, a ceramic or a metal having an average particle diameter of 20-80mum, and the easily soluble substance is a water-soluble metallic salt, particularly, sodium chloride (which is available inexpensively) ground down to an average particle diameter of 10-80mum.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a hard printing material capable of displaying a stabilized printing performance for a long time by pouring ink into a glass powder sintered material having very fine pores formed by elution of an easily soluble material after sintering. CONSTITUTION:A hard porous material used for a hard printing material is manufactured by a method as follows. As easily soluble material, a glass powder of a lower melting point than it, a binder, and a solvent which dissolves the binder and does not dissolve the easily soluble material and mixed in a slurry state, kneaded, dried, and pulverized to form to a powdery material. On the surface of the material, binder film is formed. The powdery material is molded by compression, and sintered, and its surface is worked and thereafter, the easily soluble material is eluted to obtain the hard perforated material. Then, ink is impregnated inside many interconnected very fine pores formed by elution of the easily soluble material after sintering. Therefore, when used as a seal, ink oozes out uniformly on a seal surface, a clear print of the seal can be formed, and the hard porous material has no fear of oxidation like metallic material and is extremely stabilized. Then, a clear printing performance can be maintained semipermanently.
