摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for removing a scale deposit in an emulsion polymn. reactor which can substantially completely remove scale by conducting washing, with agitation, of a scale deposit deposited onto a reactor wall, an agitator, and the like in an aq. soln. contg. sodium hydroxide and a specified alcohol. SOLUTION: A scale deposit, which has been produced after emulsion polymerization of a polymerizable monomer having a glass transition temp. of -20 deg.C or below in the form of a homopolymer and deposited onto a reactor wall, an agitator and the like is washed by agitation in an aq. soln. contg. 2 to 40% sodium hydroxide and 2 to 30% alcohol having a hydrophobic groups at 40 to 95 deg.C. This permits the reactor and the agitator to be smoothly used in the next emulsion polymn. without leaving any tackiness in the reactor and the agitator.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for removing a scale deposit in an emulsion polymn. reactor which can simply wash away scale in a short time by jetting a washing solution, with a high-mol.wt. polymer dissolved therein, against a scale deposit deposited on a reactor wall, an agitator and the like. SOLUTION: Either a washing solution with 0.01 to 5wt.% high-mol.wt. polymer, a surfactant, a polyvalent metallic cation, or a quaternary ammonium compd. dissolved therein, or water with 0.01 to 5wt.% vinyl chloride resin having an average particle diameter of 10 to 500μm dispersed therein is jetted at a pressure of 30 to 400kg/cm against a scale deposit which has been produced after emulsion polymn. of a polymerizable monomer and deposited onto a reactor wall, an agitator and the like. This permits the reactor and the agitator to be used in the next emulsion polymn. without leaving any tackiness on the reactor wall, the agitator and the like.

The above molded product of the chlorinated vinyl resin is characterized in that the above vinyl chloride resin has a peak ratio (chlorine atom peak × 2/carbon atom peak) of 0.6 or more at the 1S bond energy value(eV) between carbon and chlorine atom in the surface analysis of particles by electron spectroscopy for chemical analysis(ESCA), the above chlorinated vinyl chloride resin has a chlorine content of 60-72 wt.%, void fraction of 30-40 vol.% determined at 196 MPa by mercury porosimetry and void volume of 0.001-0.1 μm which is 2-15 vol.% of a total void volume in the pore volume distribution determined under a pressure of 0-196 MPa by mercury porosimetry and the above molding product of the chlorinated vinyl chloride resin has a heat resisting temperature of 125 deg.C or more and a surface roughness Rmax of 4.0 μm or less.

Though resin having high chlorine content is used, the pipe is enough gelatinized so as to be excellent in exhibiting physical properties such as shock resistance and the like, and the improvement in gelatinization performance is caused by the internal porous state and particle surface state of chlorinated vinyl chloride resin particles having characteristics, and the particle structure is such that the value porosity at the time of pressure 2000 kg/cm2 by method of mercury penetration is 30 to 40 volume %. More preferably, the porosity is 31 to 38 volume %, and breeding of bacteria and deposit of rubber in the pipe can be prevented, so it can be used in an extrapure water pipe for a plant.
