    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a color filter which needs no flattening treatment of a surface, can reduce influence of leveling and can stabilize stripe pattern shapes even when the stripe pattern is micronized. SOLUTION: Printing patterns 2 made of polyvinyl acetal added with an UV ray absorber are applied by a screen printing onto stripe pattern regions of G(green) and B(blue) on a transparent substrate 1 on which a black matrix is formed and are cured by heating. Then, a red-colored negative resist 3 is applied onto a whole surface of the transparent substrate 1 and is cured by heating. Then, whole rear surface of the transparent substrate 1 is irradiated with UV ray 4 from the rear surface of the transparent substrate 1 by using a high pressure mercury lamp and is exposed. After the colored negative resist 3 is developed by an inorganic alkaline aq. soln., the printing patterns 2 are washed with water to obtain stripe patterns 5 of R(red) having stable edge shape and high accuracy. The color filter can be obtained by repeating similar processes for the stripe patterns 6 of G and for the stripe patterns 7 of B.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To uniformly spread powder in a stable state that quantity variation with time is little, and enable reducing aggregation of powder and clogging of the piping. SOLUTION: The entirety of a main vessel 1 of powder supply equipment constitutes an airtight structure sealed from the outside. A diaphragm 2 is installed in the vessel 1, which is divided into a first chamber for spouting the powder and a second chamber for supplying the powder. Consequently, scattering of the powder which is to be caused by an air flow is avoided. In the first chamber for spouting the powder above the diaphragm 2, a hollow pipe 3 for gas flowing and a gas flowing inlet are installed. Only the upper tooth trenches of a gear feeder 5 are made to exist, and the spouting of superfluous powder is prevented. In the second chamber for supplying the powder below the diaphragm 2, the gear feeder 5 having the tooth trenches for packing the powder is accommodated and arranged. By the rotation of the gear, the tooth trenches are filled with the powder. On a wall surface, a powder introducing port 7 for supplying the powder is installed, and a stirring vane 6 of a spiral type for stirring the powder in the second chamber is arranged.

SOLUTION: In the liquid crystal display panel containing two sheets of electrode substrates placed opposite to each other and a liquid crystal layer comprising the liquid crystal injected into the space sandwiched by the electrode substrates and forming a display region, the liquid crystal display panel is provided with at least one exhaust hole 1 to exhaust air inside the space and a plurality of the injection ports 2, 3, 4 to inject the liquid crystal into the space on the outer circumferential part of the display region. The liquid crystal is simultaneously injected from the all injection ports by setting opening widths to be narrower toward the exhaust hole 1 from the injection port 2 to 3, 4 or by setting intervals between the neighboring injection ports to be wider toward the exhaust hole 1 along the outer circumference of the display region.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent coating liquid from being contaminated to enable easily controlling a trace of the coating liquid. SOLUTION: A glass substrate 4 attached to a slidable stage and a vertically movable coating head 7 for discharging photoresist 11 to a coating surface 5 of the glass substrate 4 are provided. The glass substrate 4 and the coating head 7 are arranged up and down respectively, and the coating surface 5 of the glass substrate 4 is turned downward, and the coating head 7 is constituted of a pair of lips 8, 9 opposite to each other. A gap between the opposite surfaces of the pair of the lips 8, 9 is made a discharging slit for the photoresist 11 turned in the up and down directions, and on the opposite surface of the one lip 9, a manifold 13 is formed, and the manifold 13 incorporates an expandable coating liquid discharging tube 18. Since the discharge of the photoresist 11 is controlled by the coating liquid discharging tube 18, the discharge can be hardly affected by a pump and piping. Thus, the discharge of a trace of the photoresist is made possible and an improvement in response can be expected.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a substrate from lifting up from a transportation roller and to prevent particles and foreign substances from sticking by forming a pressurizing means wherein the substrate is pressed under spurting liquid on the upper side of the substrate. SOLUTION: A cleaning liquid is supplied from a liquid supply pipe 5, and is spurt from a nozzle hole 7 formed at a transportation pressing shower 4. Here, a shower discharge surface of the transportation pressing shower 4 is a smooth flat surface, while the nozzle hole 7 is tilted to the center direction side of a transported substrate. The water of the transportation pressing shower 4 is made to flow towards the inside of substrate to form a flat water film on the shower plane, thus pressing a substrate 1. Here, the flow rate of the shower is adjusted to a flow rate which is appropriate for balancing with a shower raising pressure from the lower surface of substrate.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the visible field by forming color pixels in a recessed state and forming the surface of a color filter substrate along the surface shape of the color pixels. SOLUTION: This color filter substrate 11 consists of a light-transmitting substrate 1, light-shielding film 2, color pixels 3, transparent conductive film 4, and orienting film 5. The color pixels are formed in a recessed state and the transparent conductive film 4 and the orienting film 5 are also formed as recessed along the surface shape of the color pixels 3. Since the surface on the color filter substrate 11 is formed as recessed corresponding to the pixels, the liquid crystal molecules in a liquid crystal layer 9 are radially oriented so that the molecules are almost perpendicular to the pixels in a recessed state. This enables radial diffusion of light from a back light 8 along the liquid crystal molecules. When no voltage is applied, light from the back light 8 can be radially diffused along the liquid crystal molecules. The pixels 3 consist of a thermoplastic color resin, and the refractive index of the color resin is controlled to be higher than the refractive index of the liquid crystal material included in the liquid crystal cell.

SOLUTION: To carry an electrode substrate 1 for a liquid crystal display element in the direction parallel to the longer side, a roller 2 for an end part in contact with the end part of the electrode substrate 1 for the liquid crystal display element is fitted to a shaft 3 for the end part, while a roller 4 for a central part in contact with the central part of the electrode substrate 1 for the liquid crystal displays element is fitted to a sheet 5 for the central part. The shaft 3 for the end part and the shaft 5 for the central part are alternately fitted to a sheet carrying device body. The roller 2 for the end part and the roller 4 for the central part of equal diameter are used, and the shaft 5 for the central part is fitted to the higher position than the shaft 3 for the end part. A roller 6 for a guide is provided so as to be brought into contact with the each end face parallel to the carrying direction of the electrode substrate 1 for the liquid crystal display element.
