    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid injection method of a liquid container in which a liquid can be injected without various functions of the liquid container being damaged, and to provide the liquid container.
      SOLUTION: The liquid container of an atmosphere open type is equipped in a container body 10 with an ink containing part, an ink supply part, an ink guiding path which guides an ink I stored in the ink containing part to the ink supply part, and an atmosphere communicating path. A liquid residual quantity sensor which detects that a liquid residual quantity in the ink containing part becomes zero by detecting inflow of a gas into the ink guiding path is set halfway of the ink guiding path. At the same time, a bubble trapping passage 713 which captures bubbles mixed in the ink I is prepared in an upstream side ink end sensor connecting passage 400 between a detection position by the liquid residual quantity sensor and the ink containing part. The ink cartridge is constituted by forming an injection port to communicate with the liquid containing part in the atmosphere communicating path for the liquid container, injecting a predetermined quantity of the ink from the injection port, and sealing the injection port after the ink is injected.

The ink is moved from the lower ink storage chamber 11 via the communication passage 18 to the upper ink storage chamber by the progress of consumption of the ink of the upper ink storage chamber. Injection of the ink of the ink cartridge is carried out by injecting the ink into between the lower ink storage chamber and the ink supply port through the upper ink storage chamber while carrying out decompression suction from the ink supply port.
