SOLUTION: A reverse power flow electric power amount W2 measured by a reverse power flow power meter is subtracted from a power generation amount W3 of a generator to calculate an air conditioning power generation amount (W3-W2) used for air conditioning out of the power generation amount, and power generation fuel consumption is proportionally divided by the ratio of the air conditioning power generation amount (W3-W2) and the reverse power flow electric power amount W2, to thereby calculate second air conditioning fuel consumption which is the air conditioning fuel consumption in the power generation fuel consumption, and the reverse power flow fuel consumption. First air conditioning fuel consumption used for other than power generation is added to the second air conditioning fuel consumption and proportionally divided by a divided ratio of fuel for each refrigerant system. CONSTITUTION:Heat exchange by means of a heat operation fluid generated from a operation part 3 by driving a compression part 2, is carried out between a heat exchanger 5 and a heat exchanger 8 of an indoor machine 80 by an internal combustion engine 1 in a heat source machine 10. The engine 1 is driven and controlled by a control part 7 based on the calculated rotation speed, which is calculated based on each detection signal from each detector S1-S6, S11, S12, and on each set signal from a set operation part 83. Required cooling or heating is carried out by the heat exchanger 81 while rotating the engine 1, which promptly responds to the change in room temperature, and normal drive control is thus carried out. Rotation speed in an economic mode is set to that of intermediate position with relatively good efficiency, for example, and an operation period in the economic mode is set to a timing of intermediate temperature, for example. When the calculated rotation speed exceeds the rotation speed in the economic mode, operation is carried out by reducing the speed to the level of the economic mode. Since prompt response is not so required in the intermediate temperature timing, fuel consumption can be reduced as much as high speed driving is restricted.

    • PURPOSE:To smoothen the restarting by a method wherein a preliminary cranking is performed to drive a compressor repeatedly only for a short time and then a normal operation is started by a normal cranking before electric energization time of an electric heater in the compressor reaches a specified value. CONSTITUTION:In an air-conditioning apparatus, a compressor 1 to be driven with a gas engine 2, a four-way valve 3 for switching cooling and heating, room heat exchangers 4 and an outdoor heat exchanger 6 are connected sequentially with a refrigerant pipe 6 to form a cooling circuit A and a heating circuit B. The compressor 1 is equipped with an electric heater 11 to heat a refrigerant. Moreover, the gas engine 2 is controlled with a controller 7. In other words, a starter 21 and a fuel valve 22 are controlled based on a detection signal of a temperature sensor 8 for measuring the temperature of a refrigerant discharged from the compressor 1. In this case, before electric energization time of the electric heater 11 reaches a specified value, a preliminary cranking is performed to drive the compressor 1 repeatedly only for a short time and then, normal operation is started by a normal cranking.

    • PURPOSE:To make it more convenient to use an engine-driven heat pump type air conditioner by enabling it, when trouble has occurred in its system of communication, to stop the operation once and, when it is discovered that the trouble has been removed, to automatically resume the operation. CONSTITUTION:An engine-driven heat pump type air conditioner stops operating when trouble has occurred in the communication between a remote control 3 and an indoor unit 2 or between the indoor unit 2 and an outdoor unit 1. When the trouble in communication which has caused the apparatus to stop operating is a transient phenomenon which is due to a noise 6 and has spontaneously passed away and it has become clear that the system of communication has been restored to its normal condition, the indoor unit 2 signals to the remote control 3 the recovery of the normal condition in the communication and restores itself to the normal condition. The outdoor unit 1 also restores itself to the normal condition and stands by for a command from the indoor unit 2 to resume the operation. Thus, as the noise 6 passes away, the apparatus is made ready to operate and the operation is automatically resumed. This method makes the air conditioner more convenient to use.
