    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate separation between paperboard layers and improve adhesive properties of a tape by embossing paper or paperboard by dies comprising a male die and a female die, and providing a plurality of recessed portions in which chip-like electronic components are loadable. SOLUTION: An embossed carrier tape 1 to be utilized in the case of obtaining a taping package of electronic components such as ICs and LSIs has a plurality of recessed portions in which the electronic components are loadable and which are provided by effecting embosses 3 to paper or paperboard. Paper having 0.5-30% of rayon, etc., incorporated in a paper layer 2 is preferably used as a material. Further, in the case where paper or paperboard held between a die having a protrusion type punch and a die having a recessed portion is embossed, embossing is performed in the state that the clearance between a side face of the protrusion type punch and a side face of the recessed portion is made to be 90-180% of the thickness of paper and in the state that the clearance between a corner part of the protrusion type punch and a corner part of the recessed portion is made to be 60-65% of the thickness of paper. By forming the embosses 3 under these conditions, paper powder is not produced, and the electronic components can be prevented from becoming dirty.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a paper CD case easily disposable by bending bendable parts so that a back sheet can be laid under embossed indents at a paper mount. SOLUTION: A back sheet 11, a paper mount 12, a surface cover 13 and a surface cover reinforcing sheet 14 are formed out of a single sheet of cardboard, and the cardboard is made to function as a paper CD case 10 by bending a bendable part 15 outwardly and bendable parts 16 and 17 inwardly. An embossed indent 20 covering an area approximately in a circular shape opposite to a recording face of a CD medium and indents 21-24 having slightly deep embossments at four corners are formed at the paper mount 12 of the paper CD case 10 so that the indents are formed, caving toward the back side. The indents 21-24 at the four corners are provided to fix the back sheet 11 bent along the bendable part 15 stably under the paper mount 12.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable accurately measuring of radio activity while improving workability by providing a synthetic resin film with a plurality of bag-shaped parts opened on one hand, separation areas and the like to enable generation of a measuring sample by simple working. SOLUTION: A thin synthetic resin film 2 is thermally fused on one side of a thick synthetic resin film 1 and a number of bag-shaped parts 4 are formed with upper parts thereof made as openings 3. A separation area 5 is provided between bag-shaped parts 4 to divide the right and left bag-shaped parts while another separation area 6 is provided to divide the upper and lower bag-shaped parts 4. A bonding area 7 is provided near each opening of the bag-shaped parts 4 to allow thermal fusion. The use of a filter paper housing bag thus obtained eliminates the need for not only extra filter paper housing bags but also taking smeared filter papers after sampled out of the bag-shaped parts 4 thereby enabling measuring of radio activity with a container as intact. There is no need for an adhesive tape, synthetic resin sealing film, scissors and the like thereby achieving an omission of processes, a shortening of time and a reduction in cost.
