    • PURPOSE:To detect a ship speed within the whole ship speed region with high accuracy, by changing over a ship speed to the detected ship speed based on the output of a ship speed detection means within a low speed region and changing over the same to the detected ship speed based on the electric signal by a semiconductor pressure sensor. CONSTITUTION:The output voltage of a magnetic current meter 2, is converted to digital voltage signal by an A/D converter 3 to be outputted to a speed operation means 9. Next, when the ship speed calculated by the means 9 is a predetermined change-over value or less, said calculated ship speed is outputted as a ship speed signal to the given to a ship speed display means 11 and the speed display corresponding to the content of said ship speed signal is performed. When it is judged that the calculated ship speed is the change-over value or more, the digital voltage signal based on the output voltage of a semiconductor pressure sensor 1 is taken in and the calculation of a ship speed is performed by the means 9 and this calculated ship speed is outputted as a ship speed signal and the speed display corresponding to the content of said ship speed signal is performed on a speed display means 11. By this method, a ship speed can be detected within the whole ship speed region with good accuracy.

    • PURPOSE:To reduce the error generated between an actual ship speed and a detected ship speed, by judging the sudden speed reduction of a ship on the basis of the detected ship speed and correcting the detected ship speed so as to allow the same to approach the actual ship speed when the sudden speed reduction of the ship is judged. CONSTITUTION:The voltage applied to a semiconductor pressure sensor 1 is converted to a digital voltage signal by an A/D converter 2 to be guided to a speed operation means 4. Next, an operation data map 5 is utilized in the means 4 to calculate the present ship speed v0. This ship speed v0 is written in a memory S0 and the previous calculated ship speed v1 confronting through a sampling cycle T is read through a memory S1. Then, the judge of sudden speed reduction is performed on the basis of the difference between the previous ship speed v1 read through the memory S1 the ship speed v0 written in the memory S0. When sudden speed reduction is judged, a predetermined value A is subtracted from the ship speed v0 written in the memory S0 to obtain a corrected ship speed and the ship speed signal showing said corrected ship speed is outputted to a speed display means 6. By applying the correction of a ship speed by this way, ship speed display approaching an actual ship speed is performed.
