摘要： PURPOSE:To maintain sufficient earthing resistance while making it possible to grasp the deterioration state of a cable, by a method wherein three of an alarm line, an armor sheath and an earth are connected to the input ends of two sets of comparators and the output terminals of the comparators are connected to a relay for an alarm through a timer. CONSTITUTION:The armor of a cable 8 is made of a corrugated steel pipe 15 and a plurality of signal wires 9 and alarm wires 11 are received in said steel pipe 15. Voltage to be detected converted to constant-voltage is applied between the alarm wires 11 and the armor 15 while the size of an insulating resistance value is substituted with the size of a current to be detected and, when this current exceeds a definite value, it can be detected. When there is no insulation falling between the alarm lines 11 and the armor 15 as well as the armor 15 and an earth 19, currents I, I' come to values calculated by dividing the resistances of circuits through which said currents are flowed by the voltage to be detected. When insulating breakdown caused by the falling of a thunderbolt is generated or influence is received by rat injury and insulation falling is generated between the alarm lines 1 and the armor 15, the currents I, I' are increased in proportion to these phenomena. As a result, sufficient earthing resistance can be maintained and, in addition, the deterioration state of the cable can be always grasped.
