    • PURPOSE:To manufacture a multi-step V-pulley having no reduction in the plate thickness of a V-groove part with high material yield by forming an annular projecting part in V-shaped section by bulging at the intermediate part of the metal thin pipe in the specified length and subjecting both ends opening parts to expanding. CONSTITUTION:The pipe 21 in the specified length having an outer diameter d1 is obtd. by cutting a metal thin blank. Bulging is then executed at the intermediate part in the axial direction of the pipe 21. The annular projecting part 23 in V-shaped section bulging to the external part in the radial direction is thus formed. This projecting part 23 is provided in the necessary number of steps. Thereafter, an expanded mouth part 27 is formed by expanding both ends opening parts in the axial direction of the pipe 21. A V-groove 25 is made by relatively faced one side slopes of the annular projecting part 23 adjoining with said expanding part 27. The outer diameter d2 at the bottom 30 of the V-groove 25 becomes really equal to the outer diameter d1 of said pipe 21. The reduction in the plate thickness of the V-groove 25 is thus eliminated and the multistep V-pulley capable of sufficiently resisting to the belt tension exerted thereon is obtd.

    • PURPOSE:To improve the yield of a material without reducing the plate thickness of a V-groove part by expanding the opening part at both ends of a metal pipe with a V-groove forming inner die movable in the axial and radial directions and work die movable in the axial direction. CONSTITUTION:The lower end of a metal pipe 20 is set onto the lower receiving face of a lower slope forming die 26 and a cam die 37 and pressurizing die 24 are descended, then, a V-groove forming die 22 is abutted to the outer peripheral face of the metal pipe 20 by contracting in the radial direction according to the cam face 39 of the cam die 37 to complete the contraction. On the expanding of the upper end of the pipe 20, it is completed without moving in the axial direction a slider 30 and the V-groove forming die 22 by adjusting the force of a cushion 61 to the level capable of the expansion forming of the upper side of the pipe 20. Moreover, the end face of the pressurizing die 24 presses the upper face of the V-groove forming inner die 22, the slider 30 and die 22 start to move in the axial direction, the expanding of the lower side of the pipe 20 is started and the work is soon completed.

    • PURPOSE:To enable standardization of a header part, by a method wherein a refrigerant outflow passage to connect the tip of a first protrusion part with the inside of a joint part and a refrigerant inflow passage to connect the tip of the one protrusion part, selected from the second-fourth protrusion parts, with the inside of the joint part are formed in the header part. CONSTITUTION:A side glass 6 is situated to the upper end of a first passage 5 of a header part 2 in a manner to hold a watertight state, and the upper end part of a suction pipe 7 is engaged with the lower end part thereof with a press. A flange part 7a is formed in the vicinity of the upper end of a suction pipe 7, and a protrusion part 3f is bent inwardly for fixing. Male screws 8 are respectively situated to outer peripheries of first-fourth protrusion parts 3a-3d. The so formed assembly of the head part 2 and the suction pipe 7 is connected to the upper part of a body 1 through a joint body. Thus, a receiver drier having a header part easily adapted for various piping states of a refrigerant inflow pipe and a refrigerant outflow pipe, being an object to be connected, can be provided, and the standardization of a header part, heretofore considered to be impossible, can be realized.
