    • PURPOSE: To obtain a water leak position detector which can detect a damaged part and determine the extent of damage. CONSTITUTION: An electrode switch 12 selects one of a plurality of first electrodes 11 embedded in a part to be processed and then an AC voltage is applied sequentially from an AC power supply 14 between the selected first electrode and a second electrode 13 embedded on the outside of a water sealing sheet 17. A current detection circuit 15 detects a current flowing between the selected first electrode and the second electrode. A phase detection circuit 16 detects the phase of output signal from the current detection circuit with the phase of AC voltage as reference. In other words, the first electrode switch selects the first electrode sequentially and the phase is detected for the current flowing between the selected first electrode and the second electrode and the water leak position is detected based on the fact that the current flowing between a combination of electrodes, close to a leaked point of water sealing sheet, increases as compared with the current flowing between other electrodes.

    • PURPOSE:To detect a water leakage occurring point at early stage with good sensitivity by carrying out phase detection of inter-electrode current passing a selection switching circuit for each wire-shaped electrode, and by determining a point where the polarity of a difference value of the detected output value is reversed. CONSTITUTION:Wire-shaped electrodes B1-B5 on the lower side of a water-barrier film 11 are energized by a lower part selection switching circuit 16, while wire-shaped electrodes A1-A5 on the upper side of the water-barrier film 11 are selected and are energized by an upper part selection switching circuit 15. When there is a defect in the water-barrier film 11, since current is easily run at the defective point, a phase detection output indicates maximum value when the wire-shaped electrode that is the closest to the defective point is selected. The polarity of the difference value of the phase detection output when the electrode in the proximity is selected, is reversed with an electrode, the detection output of which is of maximum level, on the boundary, and the reversed point indicates the coordinate of the defective point in the direction of the electrodes A1-A5. All of the electrodes A1-A5 are energized by the circuit 15, while the electrodes B1-B5 are switched in order, so as to determine the coordinate of the defective point in the direction of the electrodes B1-B5, and the two coordinate points are judged to be a defective point.

    • PURPOSE:To detect the position of a breakdown of a water barrier film in a short time by a system wherein wire electrodes crossing each other are provided on the upper and lower sides of the water barrier film, the upper and lower electrodes are selected sequentially and electrified and the electrification current is subjected to phase detection synchronously with outputs of a two-phase AC power source which are different in phase by 90 degrees from each other. CONSTITUTION:Wire electrodes A1 to A5 are disposed on the upper side of a water barrier film 10, while wire electrodes B1 to B5 are disposed on the lower side of the film so that they cross the electrodes on the upper side. One output of a two-phase AC power source 11 is impressed on one electrode selected from the ones A1 to A5 through an SW selector 14, and the other is impressed on one electrode selected from the ones B1 to B5 through an SW selector 15. When the water barrier film is broken, a first phase detection circuit 16a outputs a relatively large value when the crossing point of a combination of the wire electrodes on the upper and lower sides of the water barrier film is near to the broken part, and a second phase detection circuit 16b outputs a relatively small value on the occasion. By displaying a difference between the output values of the two phase detection circuits, accordingly, the position of occurrence of a water leakage can be known.

    • PURPOSE:To enable calibration of the sensitivity of current measurement by short-circuiting metal plate electrodes on the upper and lower sides of a water barrier film by a switch operation on the occasion when a current flowing between upper and lower electrodes is measured. CONSTITUTION:Metal plate electrodes 20 comprise four upper metal plate electrode pieces 20a and four lower metal plate electrode pieces 20b opposed thereto, and a switch box 19 also comprises four switches which can short-circuit four couples of the metal plate electrode pieces discretely. When one switch is made to cause a short circuit, a resistance between the metal plate electrode pieces 20a and 20b opposed to each other turns zero, and therefore a state being similar to a breakage of a water barrier film 10 is brought forth electrically by the area of one metal plate electrode piece. When two switches are made to cause the short circuit, a state similar to a breakage corresponding to two of the metal plate electrode pieces is brought forth, and so on. Accordingly, the degree of a water leakage to which a measure value obtained from an output of a current detecting circuit 13 and an output of a phase detection circuit 16 corresponds actually can be determined with high precision.

    • PURPOSE:To detect the position of a breakdown of a water barrier film in a short time by a system wherein wire electrodes crossing each other are provided on the upper and lower sides of the water barrier film, the upper and lower electrodes are selected sequentially and electrified and a current output value between the separate electrodes is displayed. CONSTITUTION:Wire electrodes A1 to A5 are disposed on the upper side of a water barrier film 10, while wire electrodes B1 to B5 are disposed on the lower side thereof so that they cross the above electrodes. One output of an AC power source 11 is impressed on one wire electrode selected from the ones A1 to A5 through an SW selector 14, and the other is impressed on one electrode selected from wire electrodes B1 to B5 through an SW selector 15. When the water barrier film is broken, a current tends to flow through the broken part easily. When the crossing point of a combination of the upper and lower wire electrodes is near to the broken part, accordingly, a phase detection circuit 16 outputs a relatively larger value for it than the one for other combinations of the electrodes. By displaying the output value of the phase detection circuit in accordance with the crossing point of the electrodes on the upper and lower sides of the water barrier film, accordingly, the position of occurrence of a water leakage can be known.
