Based on the acquired color value of each tone value and a color value of the adjacent tone value, a change amount of the color value of each tone value is calculated (S3). When the calculated change amount is larger than a predetermined value, it is determined that a tone step is present (S4). A pixel value and an exposure amount corresponding to the tone step are identified (S5), and an exposure amount in an exposure table is corrected so that the change amount decreases (S6).
