    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To analyze oil content such as machine oil contained in soil by using a simple procedure without any environmental pollution.SOLUTION: A soil sample is mixed with water-soluble lower alcohol such as ethanol so as to dissolve oil content contained in soil in the lower alcohol. Then the mixture thus obtained is subjected to filtration to give filtrate. To the filtrate thus obtained hydrogen carbonate of alkali metal or alkali earth metal, water and an acidic adjuvant are added, thereby chemically generating carbon dioxide gas from the lower alcohol-water mixture, and then chemical and physical agitation of the whole mixture is performed to promote uniform separation of oil particles in the solution. A scattering state of the oil particles thus precipitated is measured by using a light transmission photometer to analyze oil content.

      SOLUTION: A soil sample is mixed with a low-grade alcohol dissolved in water such as ethanol, an oil component contained in soil is dissolved in a low-grade alcohol, hydrogen peroxide water is added to liquid which is obtained by filtering the dissolved oil component, a catalyst for generating oxygen from the hydrogen peroxide water is added to the liquid which is obtained by filtering the dissolved oil component, the uniform separation of oil component particles in a solution is progressed by chemically stirring the whole solution due to the generation of oxygen by the addition, the scattering state of oil component particles which are precipitated by the separation is measured by using a light transmission photometer, and the coil component is analyzed.

Also, when the rate of the rapid increase in the ion concentration is less than the predetermined scaling factor but an accumulated precipitation for a predetermined period after the rapid increase in the ion concentration is larger than a predetermined accumulated precipitation, the ground displacement prediction method predicts that the possibility of the generation of the ground displacement is high.
